As you know from the last post, Amazon has reverted both Into the Fire and Cat and Meese back to 99 cents instead of free–and I’m hoping to get them back to being free as soon as I can. Not only does this affect my marketing plan, but I also feel really bad about it since I just told a whole bunch of readers (through the front and back matter of Firebird as well as some other books) that they can pick those two books up for free.
Contacting Amazon support to explain the situation resulted in a short, form response that implied that they’d do nothing to change it–even though it’s affecting them as much as it’s affecting me (sales have dried up since the change, so neither of us is getting money!).
So, if you’re feeling particularly generous and have a minute or so to spare, I’d appreciate it if you could report Into the Fire and/or Cat and Meese to Amazon’s “tell us about a lower price” link. Here’s how:
