30 Day Book Meme: Favorite Book You Own
Did I mention how much I love The Last Unicorn?
And The Haunting of Hill House?
I pretty much own all of my favourite books. However, since those books have already cropped up in my 30 Day Book Meme, I’m going to try for something I have not mentioned yet. Holly Black’s Tithe.
If you’re not sure who Holly Black is, she co-wrote the Spiderwick Chronicles. Tithe, and the rest of her titles in the Ironside series, are for the more grown-up lovers of faeries. In these books, she deals with both the good and the bad (not that Spiderwick doesn’t have bad in them!), and feeds right into my addiction of faerie lore.
She even put my favourite faerie in there: a Kelpie. All creepy and awesome and ready to drown some bitches.
Tithe deals with the rivalry between the Seelie Court, Unseelie court, and the faerie that would rather be neutral to the party. And Kaye, the main character, gets caught in between them all.
Here’s the Kindle Edition, although I might mention that there are cheaper paperbacks flying around.
